SUMMARY:
The role provides leadership and expertise in creating and implementing a comprehensive system to assess the effectiveness of Academic Affairs and the Rochester General College of Health Careers (RGCOHC), and oversees both the Center for Assessment and Accreditation and the Center for Teaching and Learning. The position provides critical support for accreditation processes, including managing timelines, coordinating document preparation, and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements and plays a key role in supporting institutional and program reviews, as well as operational assessments, contributing to the development of a strong culture of assessment within RRH’s Academic Enterprise and RGCOHC.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership
Serves as a key member of the Academic Affairs and Education Office and RGCOHC leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, evaluation, and resource allocation in alignment with RRH and RGCOHC’s mission and goals.
Operational
Develops goals aligned with academic strategy, supports institutional research and reporting, prepares budgets, and aids in workforce development and academic program advancement.
Coordinates data gathering, analysis, and dissemination related to assessment, teaching effectiveness, and accreditation across the Academic Enterprise.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensures adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards from state and national agencies (e.g., NYSED, ACEN, ABHES).
Leads the development of compliance-related structures, policies, and documentation, and contributes to accreditation reports and site visits.
Assessment and Teaching/Learning
Leads institutional assessment, including data collection, survey design, analysis, and performance evaluation for continuous improvement.
Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice and quality improvement through faculty development, teaching workshops, coaching, and instructional innovation.
Teaches as assigned and oversees faculty support, engagement, and professional development through the Center for Teaching and Learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in nursing, education, administration, counseling, or related field
If RN, active RN licensure in NYS
If RN, BLS from American Heart Association required within 14 days of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated knowledge of student management, student affairs, dual enrollment, admissions, counseling, and accessibility and compliance regulations.
Knowledge of SQL (Query Writing), EMPOWER and Dashboards.
Experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of healthcare education, clinical services, and faculty development.
Two years of higher education experience preferred
Doctorate degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
