Participates in digital editorial planning and calendar development

Supports the department’s multimedia production, contributing scripts, treatments, outlines, and supporting text

Digital Voice and Tone

Serves as a key custodian of the museum’s digital voice by ensuring consistency and accessibility across all published digital texts

Effectively tailors messaging for different audience segments, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and consistency of voice across all touchpoints

Continually works to integrate and extend founder and museum voice to emerging digital products and formats, maintaining consistency while adapting to new contexts

Helps build and maintain digital-specific editorial guidelines

Marketing and Communications Support

Writes, edits, and proofreads clear, compelling, and on-brand copy across the museum’s digital marketing channels—including website, email campaigns, social media, print, and on-site materials—to drive audience engagement and support revenue-generating initiatives

Develops and refines messaging that supports ticket sales, membership growth, fundraising campaigns, and public programs

Monitors content performance and incorporates stakeholder feedback and performance insights (e.g., engagement metrics, campaign results) to refine and improve copy effectiveness over time

Applies SEO best practices when writing and editing, and tracks emerging content optimization trends such as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to ensure texts are effectively indexed, cited, and summarized by AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
