Job Purpose:
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect provides expert-level security architecture and design support for advanced research and development environments. This role is responsible for designing secure infrastructure, advising stakeholders on cybersecurity strategies, and ensuring enterprise systems are resilient, compliant, and aligned with modernization initiatives such as Zero Trust and secure cloud adoption.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement secure cloud and enterprise infrastructure aligned with high-level security standards (e.g., FedRAMP High)
- Plan, design, evaluate, and integrate cybersecurity solutions across enterprise environments
- Provide cybersecurity engineering support, including enhancing legacy systems and addressing emerging threats
- Collaborate with system owners, ISSOs, and security stakeholders to align architecture with mission requirements
- Integrate security and privacy requirements into the Secure System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Assess current architectures and design solutions to improve system compatibility, security, and performance
- Conduct research and evaluation of security tools, technologies, and products
- Ensure cybersecurity is embedded across all IT architecture initiatives
- Provide technical leadership, consultation, and guidance on cybersecurity strategy and continuous monitoring
- Develop and maintain security architecture documentation in alignment with industry best practices
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect is expected to have additional duties as assigned in support of corporate cyber security services. Additional details are reviewed in accordance with company policies.

This is typical office or administrative work, and there is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
This position requires sedentary work. Requirements:Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
12+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise cybersecurity solutions
7+ years of deep technical experience across cybersecurity disciplines (e.g., network security, cloud security, identity management, vulnerability management)
Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
CISSP certification required
Strong knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related frameworks
Experience architecting or supporting DoD SOC, CSSP, or CPT operations
Expertise in network security, vulnerability scanning, secure configurations, and system hardening
Ability to assess risk and translate technical issues into strategic solutions
Strong communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills
