This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping and executing enterprise-wide data governance initiatives that ensure data integrity, compliance, and usability across the organization. You will lead the hands-on implementation of governance frameworks, working across multiple platforms and business units to establish trusted, well-managed data ecosystems. Acting as a key enabler of data-driven decision-making, you will design scalable governance processes, enhance data quality, and ensure regulatory alignment. The position combines technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration, requiring you to engage stakeholders at all levels. You will contribute to building a strong governance culture while driving innovation in metadata management, lineage, and data stewardship. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning governance strategy into tangible, high-impact outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and operationalize enterprise data governance frameworks aligned with industry standards such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM
  • Configure and manage governance platforms to support metadata management, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and stewardship workflows
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive metadata strategies, including automated data classification, ownership, and cataloging
  • Implement end-to-end data lineage to ensure traceability from source systems through analytics and reporting layers
  • Develop and enforce data quality frameworks, including profiling, monitoring, scorecards, and issue resolution processes
  • Align governance practices with regulatory requirements and ensure audit readiness through proper documentation and controls
  • Integrate governance tools with data platforms, pipelines, warehouses, and business intelligence systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert for governance tools, driving optimization, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Enable and support data stewardship across the organization through training, onboarding, and governance playbooks
  • Promote a culture of data governance by driving adoption, stakeholder engagement, and continuous communication
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or related fields, including hands-on implementation experience
  • Strong expertise in enterprise governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with multiple governance or metadata platforms (e.g., Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Alation, Informatica Axon)
  • Proven ability to design and implement governance operating models, including data domains, stewardship structures, and RACI frameworks
  • Experience building and managing business glossaries, critical data elements, and enterprise data taxonomies
  • Solid background in implementing automated data lineage and ensuring full traceability across systems
  • Expertise in data quality management, including rule definition, monitoring, and issue resolution workflows
  • Experience integrating governance frameworks with cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, SOC 2, CCPA)
  • Familiarity with embedding governance controls into CI/CD or DevOps pipelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CDMP certification preferred
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from $109,253 to $143,394, based on experience and qualifications
  • Performance-based incentive bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Tax-advantaged healthcare spending accounts with company contributions
  • 401(k) and Roth IRA plans with employer matching
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and personal days
  • Paid holidays and additional leave benefits, including family and bereavement leave
  • Life, disability, and travel insurance coverage
  • Flexible work arrangements (remote or hybrid options)
  • Professional development opportunities, including training and career mobility
  • Volunteer time off and company-supported charitable initiatives
  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment with strong employee support programs
