About This Position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education/Experience:
  • Must meet one of the following educational/experience requirements:
    • Satisfactory completion of a formal vascular technology training program.
    • Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years)
    • On the job training is accepted if already registered
    • Must be registered or registry eligible. Registry eligible must be registered within 6 months of hire
  • 0+ years of experience


Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  • All of the following are required.
    • American Heart Association (BLS)
    • In addition to the above, one of the following is also required:
    • American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS)
    • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS- RVT)
    • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS)
  • Registry eligible (must be registered within 6 months of hire)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current RVT or RVS strongly preferred

WORK SCHEDULE:

Up to 19.99 hours per week, no set schedule. Not a benefits-eligible position. Will travel to other UTMB campuses as needed for coverage.
