Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Insurance Authorization Supervisor, performs clerical and general office work of moderate difficulty, assisting patients and guarantors with insurance questions, and works hospital and office procedures pre-certification. Performs duties of obtaining authorizations, referrals, account payment questions and collections for services.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

• Required
  • One or more years of Clerical/General Office experience
• Preferred
  • One or more years of Medical Billing or Insurance Authorization experience
  • One of more years of knowledge or experience in Medical Terminology
  • One or more years of experience handling cash
