JOB TITLE: Urologist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Urologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. This role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting while supporting the growth of urology services and advancing clinical excellence. The Urologist works collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes, strengthen community relationships, and support organizational priorities. In addition to outpatient care, this role includes surgical and procedural services in the operating room and/or ambulatory surgery center (ASC), including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care through accurate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment of urologic conditions

  • Perform outpatient procedures and minor surgical interventions with precision and adherence to best practices

  • Perform urologic surgical procedures in the operating room, including but not limited to cystoscopy, TURP, lithotripsy, prostate procedures, bladder procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and experience

  • Continuously evaluate and improve clinical processes and workflows

  • Maintain current knowledge of advancements in urology and apply best practices in care delivery

  • Adopt and implement new technologies, techniques, and minimally invasive procedures to improve care

  • Contribute to the development and growth of outpatient urology services and programs

  • Support change initiatives that enhance clinical effectiveness and operational performance

  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with patients through continuity of care and effective communication

  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and community partners to ensure coordinated care

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care

  • Engage with the community to support awareness and access to urologic services

  • Promote a team-based environment that values collaboration, respect, and shared goals

Outpatient Responsibilities

  • Provide clinic-based consultations and follow-up care in a patient-centered environment

  • Perform office-based procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate evaluations)

  • Manage chronic urologic conditions and post-procedural care

  • Support growth and development of outpatient urology services

Surgical & Procedural Responsibilities

  • Perform urologic surgical procedures in the operating room, including but not limited to cystoscopy, TURP, lithotripsy, prostate procedures, bladder procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology

  • Active and unrestricted medical license

  • DEA registration

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Outpatient clinic and procedural setting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures

  • Manual dexterity for surgical and diagnostic tasks

  • Ability to assist with patient positioning as needed

Benefit Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
