Bakerly is looking for a Warehouse Lead who is responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations by prioritizing and executing daily duties, delegating and ensuring department task completion, as well as monitoring the adherence to safety protocols and completing proactive machinery maintenance for the team. The Warehouse Lead will ensure all scheduled shipments and deliveries at the plant are completed with efficiency and accuracy and serve as the lead for resolving operational issues on the warehouse floor.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Delegate and ensure task completion for warehouse operations while managing timelines to keep team members, deliveries, and shipments on schedule.
  • Use lifting equipment to load and unload products to and from delivery vehicles while following designated safety protocols. Train and monitor all warehouse staff on designated safety protocols.
  • Provide back-up for the warehouse manager and staff and communicate clear instructions and updates to team members to establish and accomplish department goals.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of incoming deliveries, organize and label them appropriately, and use ERP system to manage warehouse activity.
  • Read and understand Bill of Lading, tallies, packing list, and certificate of analysis to determine items to be moved, distributed, or unloaded and proactively identify and transport products to deliver to production.
  • Maintain and communicate inventory accuracy, cycle counts, workflow changes, staffing needs, and process improvements to management and warehouse team.
  • Ensure proper management of waste totes and coordinate swap schedules efficiently.
  • Accurately identify and locate the correct products for delivery to production, ensuring mini silos remain consistently stocked.
  • Participate in recruiting, training, and continued support of new team members. Lead by example to promote teamwork, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Coordinate coverage for team absences and emergencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space and proactively identify issues with equipment and repair or report them.
  • Adhere to Bakerly’s safety policies and procedures and Bakerly’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and train and monitor warehouse staff in these areas.
  • Develop and maintain quality and food safety standards and warehouse best practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications / Requirements

  • 2 years of forklift experience (stand up and sit down) as well as safety procedure knowledge, including proper load handling, speed limits, and forklift maintenance, and warehouse machinery experience.
  • 2 years of leadership experience in warehouse supervision.
  • Previous experience working with an ERP and / or WM Systems.
  • Ability to solve problems, delegate, and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond and be flexible to changing delivery and production schedules.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to walk, stoop, stand, kneel, bend, climb stairs, and lift to 50 lbs.
