Primary Therapist at White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa LLC – Plant City, Florida

White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa is seeking a compassionate and experienced Therapist to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a licensed (or license-eligible) clinician who is passionate about helping adults recover from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

As a Primary Therapist, you will manage a caseload of adult patients and provide high-quality individual, group, and family therapy. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop treatment plans, complete assessments, and support patients through every stage of recovery.

Facilitate therapeutic groups weekly and develop group curriculum

• Complete biopsychosocial and chemical dependency assessments
  
• Create and maintain treatment plans and clinical documentation within 24 hours
  
• Conduct family contact and family therapy
  
• Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning
  
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records
  
• Assist with crisis de-escalation and incident reporting as needed
  

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience in substance abuse and mental health treatment
  
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, CAP, or equivalent)
  
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  
• Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and patient confidentiality laws
