Are you ready to join the programmatic evolution?Index Exchange is looking for a Head of Buyer Development, UK to lead our buy-side strategy and partnerships across the UK market. Based in London, this role will own relationships with agency holding companies and lead a high-performing Buyer Development team focused exclusively on holdco engagement.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening strategic partnerships across holding company structures, and expanding adoption of Index’s buyer-facing products and marketplaces. You will play a central role in shaping Index’s UK buyer strategy and strengthening our position as a trusted, consultative partner to the agency ecosystem.
What we’re looking for:
  • Strategic and commercially driven: You bring a strong understanding of UK agency holding company operating models, investment frameworks, and SPO dynamics, and can translate market insight into clear commercial strategy.
  • People leader: You have experience leading, coaching, and developing senior commercial talent, setting clear expectations and driving accountability across your team.
  • Collaborative: You work closely with Account Management, Operations, Product, and Publisher teams, acting as the internal owner of UK holding company relationships and ensuring alignment across the business.
  • Credible and consultative: You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across agency holding companies, from programmatic and trading leads through to investment and commercial leadership.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Own and grow senior-level relationships with UK agency holding companies
  • Lead and develop the UK Buyer Development team, setting strategy, priorities, and performance expectations
  • Drive revenue growth, marketplace adoption, and long-term partnership value across UK holdco accounts
  • Act as a trusted advisor on SPO, marketplace quality, curation, data activation, and supply innovation
  • Take responsibility for UK market performance, partnership health, and commercial outcomes
  • Identify new demand opportunities within holding company structures and operating agency networks
  • Oversee forecasting, reporting, and quarterly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Product teams to provide structured market feedback and influence roadmap priorities
  • Track UK buy-side trends and competitive dynamics, sharing insights with senior Index leadership
  • Represent Index Exchange at industry events and senior partner forums in the UK

Here's what you need:
  • 12+ years of experience in digital advertising, with deep expertise in programmatic (SSP, DSP, exchange, PMP, agency trading desk, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the UK agency holding company landscape and buying models
  • Proven success in senior buyer-facing commercial roles within ad tech or programmatic environments
  • Experience leading and developing commercial teams
  • Confidence presenting technical and strategic concepts to senior stakeholders
  • Professional working proficiency in English
