Lab Technician at McEwen Mining Inc – Eureka, Nevada

A Lab Technician at our rural Nevada Gold Bar mine plays a key role in keeping laboratory operations safe, accurate, and efficient. This hands‑on position supports daily production by preparing plant solution samples while operating and maintaining essential laboratory equipment. You’ll inspect systems, maintain clean and hazard‑free work areas, handle chemicals safely, and ensure every sample is logged and tracked accurately through LIMS. Success in this role comes from consistent adherence to SOPs, meeting quality and production targets, communicating clearly, and keeping detailed, timely records. You’ll participate in daily line‑out meetings, support continuous improvement efforts, and assist with additional tasks as needed. Candidates with at least two years of mining or commercial lab experience, familiarity with wet lab techniques, and experience with AA or LECO instruments are preferred. Strong organizational skills, basic math proficiency, multitasking ability, and comfort working both independently and within a team are essential. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the physical ability to climb, kneel, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in PPE, including a respirator for certain tasks.
