POSITION: Sunday Operations Team Member, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Square

REPORTS TO: Operations Coordinator

FLSA: Non-Exempt

BAND: 4

DATE: As soon as possible

HOURS WORKED: 5.5 to 6 hours on Sunday

COMPENSATION: $25/hr



POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide a safe, efficient worship experience for Redeemer LSQ Sunday services. Sunday Operations Team Members assist the Operations Coordinator in setting up equipment, furniture and signage, completing delegated tasks, and proactively finding solutions to problems. Assist with breaking down and cleaning up after service. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation and be on your feet for a significant part of the shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Setup and teardown of all equipment and assets on stage and throughout the building. This includes transporting sound and audio equipment, placement of signs, setup for our volunteers and Coffee Hour, etc.

  • Disinfect and clean commonly used items such as tables, carts, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain an organized and clean storage room.
  • Monitor worship service attendance.
  • Run errands as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 1 - 1:30 p.m. (MUST arrive on time).
  • Take direction and respond well to supervision.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions each year to review policies & procedures.
  • Work on Easter and during the winter holidays (around Christmas/New Year).
  • A commitment to serve more than one year from start date.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must pay close attention to details
  • Must be able to “roll with the punches”, be able to follow through with projects successfully, and have the ability to change projects quickly
  • Willing to learn and able to work well with your hands
  • Possess basic computer and record-keeping skills
  • Must be a team player and have positive character qualities such as integrity and good judgment
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation and be on your feet for a significant part of the shift
