Harold Jones Landscape Inc is hiring a Landscape Project Manager specializing in softscape installation to lead residential and light commercial landscape construction projects in the Reseda area. In this field-based leadership role, youll coordinate softscape elements such as planting, irrigation, drainage, and soil preparation. Youll be responsible for planning and scheduling crews, managing materials, maintaining quality, and keeping clients informed through the project lifecycle. Hardscape scope is minimal, with a strong emphasis on horticultural execution and detail.

Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight & Scheduling
Manage softscape construction phases, including tree and plant installation, soil prep, irrigation, drainage, and mulch
Build and manage daily/weekly crew schedules to align with project sequencing and deadlines
Monitor all field work for adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards
Oversee site demo, grading, irrigation layout, planting, and mulch operations with proper sequencing
- Materials & Vendor Coordination
Produce takeoffs from planting and irrigation plans to guide purchasing and install
Order and coordinate delivery of trees, shrubs, soil, and irrigation components
Inspect materials on arrival for quality and spec compliance, especially large/boxed specimens
Track vendor lead times and align deliveries with install timelines
- Client & Team Communication
Provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders on progress, schedule, and adjustments
Manage and mitigate scope changes, documenting cost/time impacts and coordinating change orders
Ensure punch-list items are closed out with precision and professionalism
Support a collaborative and proactive jobsite culture
- Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience managing landscape construction projects (residential or commercial)
Strong knowledge of softscape construction methods, horticulture, and irrigation layout
Ability to read and interpret planting plans, irrigation layouts, and grading sheets
Proficiency with project scheduling and vendor coordination
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites in the Reseda area
- Preferred Qualifications
Experience with drainage best practices, particularly in clay-heavy and sloped soils
Bilingual Spanish/English
Familiarity with construction software or digital scheduling tools
