Job Purpose / Summary

Performs repair, maintenance, and warranty work on residential and commercial roofs. Requires strong technical knowledge of roofing systems, attention to detail, and customer service skills. Ensures service calls are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to service calls for roof leaks, storm damage, and warranty repairs.
Diagnose roofing issues and determine the most effective repair method.
Perform repairs on shingles, metal, flat roofing systems, flashing, vents, gutters, and siding as needed.
Document service work with photos, notes, and service reports.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to homeowners, property managers, and contractors.
Maintain a clean and organized service truck stocked with tools and materials.
Assist with quality inspections and punch-list completion on new installations.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing leaks on shingles, flat, and metal roofs.
Ability to safely operate ladders, harnesses, and fall protection equipment.
Knowledge of building codes and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment.
Ability to interpret work orders and construction drawings.

Education & Experience

Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crawling, and bending.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind).
Ability to balance on steep-slope roofs and handle tools/materials.
Requires physical stamina to perform roofing tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Safety & Compliance Requirements

Must comply with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
