This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing technical team in a fast-paced cybersecurity environment focused on connected device security and operational excellence. The Cybersecurity Team Lead will oversee technical delivery, manage personnel, and ensure projects align with organizational priorities and client requirements. You will be responsible for tracking system statuses, conducting gap analyses, and supporting remediation planning, while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. It emphasizes clear communication, structured documentation, and proactive problem-solving. This position provides a chance to influence security initiatives, optimize system performance, and drive impactful outcomes across complex technical environments.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small technical team to ensure successful execution of cybersecurity and connected device projects
- Oversee technical delivery and maintain system tracking tools for real-time visibility into system status, connectivity, and change requests
- Conduct gap analyses for future deployments, supporting upgrades, licensing, and configuration requirements
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and firewall rulesets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biomedical and HTM stakeholders, to validate system designs and ensure alignment with operational timelines
- Support auditing, compliance documentation (e.g., POA&Ms), and remediation planning for identified vulnerabilities
- Provide hands-on technical support for system inventory, onsite assessments, and configuration standardization
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading or managing small technical teams in cybersecurity or connected device environments
- Strong background in cybersecurity, system security, and risk mitigation practices
- Proficiency with tracking and reporting tools such as JIRA
- Familiarity with firewall configuration, system inventories, and compliance documentation
- Experience conducting technical gap analyses and supporting remediation efforts
- Ability to develop clear technical documentation, configuration guides, and SOPs
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting healthcare technologies, biomedical/HTM systems, or federal environments is a plus
- Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and best practices preferred
- Experience with medical device security or federal compliance requirements is advantageous
