About This Position

Description:

Altitude Access Solutions Inc., the new operator of the Syracuse Hancock International Airport parking operation, is growing and seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team. As our operations expand, we have multiple new positions available. We are looking for a Supervisor who takes pride in their work, values excellent customer service, and enjoys contributing to a positive, reliable, and safety-focused environment.

The Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of parking and shuttle operations at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR). Guided by the direction of the Facility Manager, this position provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure parking operations are handled in accordance with SYR guidelines, company policies, and established procedures, while fostering a high standard of customer service, team performance, and positive customer relations.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facility Manager in initiatives aimed at improving customer satisfaction and overall service quality
  • Serve as the shift manager, overseeing parking and shuttle staff during assigned shifts
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers by responding to questions and resolving concerns
  • Assist with routine maintenance and repair of parking equipment, as well as general facility upkeep as directed by the Facility Manager
  • Promptly report accidents, safety hazards, suspected policy violations, or any unusual occurrences to the Assistant Facility Manager or Facility Manager and assist with documentation as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including removal of debris and addressing spills (e.g., water, oil)
  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and reinforce adherence to policies and procedures
  • Assist in training new employees and ongoing staff development
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the layout of the parking facilities and Airport campus
  • Substitute for any position when necessary
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operations

Due to weather events and operational emergencies, employees may be required to work extended hours or mandatory overtime to maintain safe operations.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing work environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • May be required to occasionally lift and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions to inspect parking areas, equipment, and shuttle operations

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience, two years of related experience preferred
  • At least one year of supervisory experience

Special Requirements:

  • Valid NYS driver’s license for the class of vehicle being driven and acceptable DMV record
  • Subject to drug-testing per company policy
  • Ability to work second and/or third shift, as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with company and Airport standards
  • Possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain and maintain one as a condition of employment
  • Must successfully complete E- Verify I9 process. We will provide E-Verify and the federal government with your I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

*Any offer of employment would be contingent on passing a security clearance background check and pre-employment drug test.
