Director of Human Resources | Santé | Full-Time | Exempt
Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience

We are a nonprofit behavioral health crisis response and outpatient organization serving individuals and families through integrated mental health, psychiatric, and crisis services, and we are looking for an HR Director who understands that people operations and mission delivery are one and the same.

The OpportunityAs Director of Human Resources, you will serve as a trusted executive partner to our senior leadership and a hands-on leader of a dedicated HR team. This is a working director role, one that demands strategic vision, operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to the people who make our mission possible.
You will shape culture, lead talent strategy, ensure compliance, and build the organizational infrastructure that allows Santé to deliver on its promise to the communities we serve. Your impact will be felt across every department, every hire, and every person who walks through our doors.
What You Will Do- Lead HR strategy and operations in close partnership with the CEO and senior leadership team
- Drive full-cycle recruitment across clinical, administrative, and leadership roles; attracting mission-aligned talent at every level
- Navigate complex employee relations matters with fairness, sound judgment, and care
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems including ADP, LinkedIn, Indeed, and related platforms, ensuring equity, accuracy, and reliability
- Champion onboarding, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen our team and our culture
- Ensure compliance with employment law, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, and state behavioral health licensing requirements
- Mentor and develop your team, modeling the servant-leader approach that defines Santé's organizational culture
- Ten or more years of progressive HR experience, including at least three years in a director-level or senior leadership role
- A track record of leading HR functions strategically while staying actively engaged in the work
- Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with ADP, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other HRIS and applicant tracking platforms
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- A genuine belief in the mission of behavioral health, and the understanding that the people doing this work deserve exceptional support
