This is a high-impact leadership role for a product design expert who thrives at the intersection of strategy, craft, and execution. You will lead and scale a design team while also contributing hands-on to core product experiences, shaping how users interact with complex, regulated workflows. The role involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams to drive usability, innovation, and measurable outcomes. You will set design standards, mentor top-tier talent, and ensure that user experience is a key factor in product decisions. - Build, hire, and mentor a world-class design team, fostering strategic thinking, deep user engagement, and ownership of outcomes
- Act as lead designer on critical product areas, owning end-to-end user experience for high-stakes workflows
- Establish usability and task success as non-negotiable metrics through rapid testing, prototyping, and validation
- Partner with product and engineering teams early to shape direction, reduce risk, and ensure technical feasibility
- Define and drive a culture of continuous discovery, leveraging user research and telemetry to inform design decisions
- Evolve and scale the design system for speed, accessibility, and maintainability
- Leverage modern tools and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate design iteration, prototyping, and handoff
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with significant exposure to complex B2B SaaS, data-heavy, or regulated platforms
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience, with a track record of growing designers’ strategic impact
- Strong hands-on design skills and ability to operate as a player-coach, contributing directly to product work
- Deep understanding of design systems, usability principles, and data-informed decision making
- Startup experience in high-growth, resource-constrained environments, demonstrating agility and creativity
- Technical literacy sufficient to communicate effectively with engineering teams, including data structures, workflows, and feasibility constraints
- Proficiency in discovery methods, rapid prototyping, and user research to validate concepts quickly
- Comfort leveraging metrics, analytics, and telemetry to guide design decisions and improve outcomes
