In this role, you will play a key part in transforming complex mortgage and fintech systems into clear, accessible, and user-friendly documentation. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure that technical and regulatory information is accurately translated for diverse audiences. Your work will directly support operational efficiency, product adoption, and regulatory compliance in a highly structured and fast-evolving environment. - Create, maintain, and update technical documentation for mortgage and fintech platforms, including loan origination systems, point-of-sale tools, and servicing systems
- Develop user guides, API documentation, knowledge base articles, and structured training materials
- Translate complex technical concepts and regulatory requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly content
- Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and business teams to document features, updates, and system changes
- Ensure all documentation aligns with relevant regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
- Maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage the full documentation lifecycle, including version control, updates, and release readiness
- Support onboarding and training initiatives through well-structured learning resources
- Gather user and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve documentation quality and usability
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field with 3–5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of professional technical writing experience
- Background in fintech, mortgage, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Proven ability to understand and explain complex technical systems clearly
- Experience creating API and developer-focused documentation
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe editing tools, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with Markdown, Git, and version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of mortgage lifecycle processes, financial data standards, or Agile environments is a plus
- Experience with UX writing, content design, or instructional design is advantageous
- Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000
