Responsibilities

The Physician Liaison supports the growth of the practice by representing and promoting services offered through the practice, participating in the implementation of marketing and sales growth strategies,management of referral data through trending and reporting mechanisms, cultivation of current and prospective business opportunities, and facilitation of issue resolution.

  • Meets with all members of a practice (referral coordinator, physician, nurse manager, practice administrator)so that they understand and can provide value for the referring provider’s referral process.
  • Schedules meetings between physicians to facilitate relationship development.
  • Organizes and in some instances conduct marketing presentations, educational seminars, community support groups.
  • Facilitates resolution of problems between department and referral sources as evidenced by reports and satisfied referral sources.
  • Promptly notifies Practice Administrator, Medical Director and AVP of any concerns or problems related to referral source satisfaction.
  • Promptly follows up on inquiry calls, including referral source concern calls within the same day.
  • Develops open lines of communication between department and referral sources.
  • Marketing calls to doctors' offices – drops off brochures, information, copies of patient's satisfactions, customer service calls, education, new programs etc. (weekly)
  • Visit community organizations to drop off brochures and educational information.
  • Covers and/or coordinates community educational or health events. (Some health events may fall after regular work hours in the evening or on weekends).
  • Attends and/or coordinates special events. This includes scheduling space, sending out invitations, planning programs, speakers and refreshments.
  • Reviews patient surveys monthly.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned, within the scope of responsibility.


Qualifications

Education/Expeirence:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years experience in health care business development, sales or related field.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts, event planning, client and customer relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of territory management, sales planning and strategy execution, competitive market analysis, and financial planning.
  • Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and prioritization abilities
  • Selfmotivated, innovative, and adaptable professional with a positive outlook
  • Proven problemsolver and collaborative team player

Microsoft Office Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel, CRM software,t
