CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $200,000 – $300,000 per year.
Position OverviewThe Law Offices of James L. Arrasmith is seeking an experienced Supervising Attorney to lead and oversee legal operations, ensure high-quality client representation, and manage a team of attorneys. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure high performance and professional development
- Oversee case strategy, legal analysis, and ensure all matters are handled efficiently and in compliance with firm standards
- Review and approve pleadings, motions, and other legal documents prior to filing
- Monitor caseloads, deadlines, and productivity, including billable performance where applicable
- Provide guidance on complex legal issues and assist in high-level case strategy and negotiations
- Ensure compliance with all ethical, regulatory, and procedural requirements
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective action plans when necessary
- Collaborate with firm leadership on staffing, workflow management, and operational improvements
- Maintain direct client relationships on key matters and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new legal staff
- Implement and enforce firm policies, procedures, and best practices
- Utilize case management and monitoring tools to ensure accountability and efficiency across the team
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California
- Significant experience in litigation and/or relevant practice areas
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $200,000 to $300,000, based on experience
