Heavy Equipment Mechanic at C Global Inc – Nokomis, Florida

Position Summary

C Global Construction is a high-end construction and property management company seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support excavation, grading, and material handling operations. This role is essential to ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment and demonstrates strong attention to safety, equipment care, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, backhoes, and boom forklifts
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, and material transport according to project specifications
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe and functional
• Load and unload equipment from transport vehicles
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust controls for safe and effective operation
• Track equipment usage and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation and incidents
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and hazard protocols
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet project goals
• Assist with general labor duties as needed (this is not a seat-only position)
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment cleaning and debris disposal

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related field
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check (in compliance with applicable laws)
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy machinery
• Basic written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license (preferred but not required)
• OSHA certification or safety training ( Preferred but not required)
• Experience with GPS-guided equipment systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or site plans
• Experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

Work Environment

This position operates primarily on active construction sites and outdoor environments. Conditions may vary depending on the project and may include:

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions such as heat, humidity, rain, and varying temperatures
• Operation of heavy machinery in environments with noise, dust, and vibrations
• Work on uneven terrain, elevated surfaces, or confined spaces
• Interaction with moving equipment, construction materials, and other site hazards
• A fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring clear communication and coordination

The role may require extended periods of sitting while operating equipment, as well as standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks associated with general labor duties.
