About Us:

TheDirectorofEngineeringisresponsibleforoverseeingtheproperty'sfacilitiesmaintenancefunction,ensuringtheefficientoperation,maintenance,service,andrepairofallequipment.The Director of Engineering is a skilled leader with technical expertise in engineering and maintenance.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• LeadershipandSupervision:Direct and supervise the Maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• TechnicalExpertise: Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
• Problem-SolvingandDecision Making: Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
• CommunicationSkills:Convey information and ideas clearly and effectively listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• FinancialAcumen: Work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions to support maintenance operations.
• ProjectManagement:Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor'sdegreeandatleast5yearsofexperienceinarelatedfield,includingpriormanagementexperience.
• Experienceinahotelorrelatedfieldisrequired,withatradelicensepreferred.

Located in the Market Center area of Dallas, 3 miles northwest of downtown, this 11-story Sheraton Suites is across from the Dallas World Trade Center. Sheraton Suites Market Center offers 4,000 square feet of meeting space for groups of up to 180. Located in the lobby, Sheraton offers workstations with complimentary WiFi. Recreational amenities include a large fitness center with exercise room, spa tub, and indoor/outdoor pool. A complimentary area shuttle is available to guests who need local transportation (within a 3-mile radius).
