The Pediatric Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in promoting oral health and delivering preventive dental care to children. This role focuses on patient education, clinical excellence, and creating a comfortable and engaging experience for pediatric patients.

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and preventive treatments for pediatric patients

• Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions for the doctor’s review

• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants

• Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations

• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care

• Help create a positive, calm, and engaging experience for children

• Identify potential oral health concerns and communicate findings to the dentist

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

• Support office flow and collaborate with the clinical team
