About This Position
Position Summary
The position is responsible for supporting designated groups with administrative, financial, and project management services provided to several self-funded groups within the Plastics division. The position directly supports several teams and groups engaged in advocacy, product stewardship, outreach and a large annual conference. The position functionally supports the Center for the Polyurethane Industry (CPI), the BPA Global Alliance and the BPA North American Team, and reports directly to the Senior Director, Product Advocacy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
■ Supports the management and oversight of the budget and accounting, including tracking revenue, expenses, contracts, and invoices for assigned groups, serves as a liaison to Finance Team, and is proficient in relevant software tools.
■ Coordinates and schedules in-person and virtual meetings for assigned groups, supports development of meeting materials and records, and other logistical arrangements.
■ Project management support including help maintaining a scientific literature database, website review and support for maintenance, support for guidance document review/update, and other advocacy or product stewardship projects.
■ Assist in the planning and execution of the CPI Technical Conference, ensures work product for educational programming and technical sessions is received from presenters in a timely fashion and cleared by legal, assists with shipping of conference materials, and provides on-site assistance at the conference (once per year/up to five days on site requiring travel).
■ Maintains membership and contact lists for assigned groups.
■ Establishes and maintains systems for managing electronic and paper-based documents for assigned division groups.
■ Routes or responds to requests for information.
■ Assist with travel planning for supported staff.
■ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required
■ Associates degree Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
■ Two years’ experience with general office procedures/management and standard business practices.
■ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment as well as handle sensitive and confidential information.
■ Strong written and oral communication skills.
■ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, as well as SharePoint and other extranet platforms.
■ Customer service mindset

■ Bachelor’s degree
■ Policy, advocacy, or trade association experience.
