JOB SUMMARY:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree Health Information Systems, Health Information Services, Health Informatics, or related field; Five years increasingly responsible work experience, including supervisory, with Accounts Receivable and Information Systems; Driver's License and personal vehicle preferred; Excellent computer skills, knowledge of database/systems design, development

and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Products including Access and SQL. Proficiency with Crystal Reports including Business Objects and Central Management Console and familiarity with Netsmart/CMHC Systems strongly preferred; Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, or to stay late or come in early, as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Manage and monitor Health Information Services operations to ensure that deadlines are met, including establishing and maintaining written procedures which specify deadlines, responsible persons, and procedures for dealing with non-compliance and exceptions.
  • Review requests for changes to the Electronic Health Record by insuring the changes are HIPAA compliant and are approved by the appropriate Supervisor.
  • Monitor changes to the Electronic Health Record to insure they are complete and accurate.
  • Manage the review of the Data Monitoring reports distributed to the Health Information Services Department Staff to insure timely and accurate completion.
  • Manage scheduled Data Monitoring reports for the Clinical Departments and Health Information Services Department to insure they run as scheduled and that the distribution for each report is complete and accurate.
  • Manage and maintain the quality of data in the Electronic Health Record by reviewing the data on an on-going basis and identifying areas of deficiency.
  • Review Data Monitoring reports for the Clinical Departments and Health Information Services Department for relevancy and accuracy on an on-going basis.
  • Analyze internal verification and monitoring procedures in the Electronic Health Record for relevancy and accuracy on an on-going basis.
  • Identify, develop, and implement additional internal verification and monitoring processes and Data Monitoring reports as needed to insure the accuracy of all data in the Electronic Health record.
  • Manage the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Electronic product forms, including those with Site-Specific Modeling; Modeled forms; electronic Progress Notes
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance from Clinical and Support staff in the utilization of the Avatar system.
  • Manage upcoming changes to the Avatar system including the implementation of new programs or significant revisions to existing programs in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer and/or the Systems and Evaluation Director.
  • Assist the Chief Information Office and Systems and Evaluations Director with the implementation of new modules in the Avatar system.
  • Address Level 2 support requests received through the Avatar Support email box by either resolving or referring to the Chief Information Officer or opening a ticket with Netsmart Support as needed.
  • Review and follow-up on Avatar Support Level 2 requests to insure timely completion.
