This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced networking firmware for high-performance computing, cloud, and storage environments. You will develop and optimize firmware features that directly impact the speed, reliability, and scalability of modern data centers. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate sophisticated firmware solutions. This position provides exposure to cutting-edge networking protocols, virtualization technologies, and large-scale system design, with the ability to influence both software and hardware interactions. Your work will contribute to enabling higher throughput, lower latency, and overall improved system performance for demanding computing applications. Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate with architecture and software design teams to define and implement new NIC firmware features
  • Develop and maintain firmware code in C/C++ for high-performance network interface controllers
  • Design and execute verification tests for advanced firmware features in complex testing environments
  • Gain deep understanding of system-level debugging, networking stacks, and HW/FW/SW interactions
  • Participate in the operation, maintenance, and release of large software projects and contribute to hardware and firmware development best practices
  • Support scalability, reliability, and performance improvements for large-scale computing systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong C/C++ proficiency
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and system architectures
  • Experience with PCIe, virtualization technologies, and distributed systems
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals
  • Scripting experience with Python and/or Bash
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: experience with RDMA stacks (RoCE, InfiniBand), low-latency networking, high-performance computing, or large-scale systems
