The Campaigns Director will lead multi-state advocacy and electoral campaigns, advancing critical policy goals and protecting access to healthcare services. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, collaborating closely with local and national teams to design and implement integrated campaigns. The position requires building strong partnerships, adapting national strategies to local contexts, and mobilizing supporters to achieve measurable impact. The Campaigns Director ensures alignment across departments, provides technical guidance, and serves as a high-level consultant for campaign strategy. This fast-paced, dynamic role demands both leadership and operational expertise, with significant responsibility for shaping regional campaign outcomes and expanding political power. Extensive travel within the assigned region is a key component of the position.
- Lead the development and execution of multi-state advocacy, legislative, and electoral campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with local and national teams to adapt strategies, coordinate resources, and ensure campaign alignment across regions.
- Serve as the primary strategist for assigned states, providing guidance on messaging, outreach, and supporter engagement.
- Build the capacity of local organizations by providing training, technical assistance, and tools for effective campaign implementation.
- Monitor and report on campaign progress, outcomes, and expenditures, ensuring timely adjustments and effective resource allocation.
- Provide rapid response support for legislative, advocacy, and political opportunities or threats within the region.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, affiliates, and community organizations, to expand influence and political power.
- Develop campaign resources such as toolkits, templates, and guides to standardize best practices across affiliates.
- 7–10 years of experience in advocacy, electoral, or organizing campaigns, including experience managing complex, multi-state efforts.
- 3–5 years of experience as a regional or multi-state campaign manager or director.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated advocacy, legislative, and electoral campaigns.
- Strong project management and operational planning skills, including experience managing multiple campaigns, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills with a proven ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts creatively.
- Strong communicator capable of translating complex strategies to diverse audiences and motivating teams across geographies.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and develop systems to manage complex projects.
- Experience applying a race equity lens in campaign strategy and execution.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel extensively (50–75% domestic travel).
- Knowledge of voter databases (VAN) preferred.

- Competitive salary: $105,000 – $110,000 per year
