GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides support to human resources department. The ability to maintain confidentiality and the flexibility to assist different levels of staff is essential to this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures including recruitment, orientation, benefits, training, compliance and record keeping
- Responsible for company communication regarding new hires, terminations, and other human resources information
- Conduct screening interviews and assist with sourcing candidates; coordinate drug screens and background checks with potential candidates
- Conduct new hire orientation including new hire forms and review company policies and benefits
- Assist employees with day to day questions about company policies and procedures
- Assist with appropriate termination paperwork; participate in meetings as needed
- Maintain Human Resource records and create reports as needed
- Assist in benefit administration by reviewing and processing invoices
- Assists in maintaining all regulatory documentation required to stay compliant with all local, state, and federal laws
- Ensure time cards and PTO requests have been submitted and approved on time; assist with corrections as needed
- Partner with managers and HR leadership regarding leave management
KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of administrative experience
- 1 year experience in human resources administration preferred
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a moderate understanding of Human Resources and relevant laws and regulations
- High school diploma or GED required; College degree preferred
OTHER/PREFERRED:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to employee issues, employee information, correspondence, reports and complex documents
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse workforce

- Employee occasionally walks on level surfaces to: interact with all operational departments, retrieve needed materials, to access lobby display, and attend meetings. Duration 45 minutes per day; Distance up to 1,500 feet per day
- Employee occasionally stands on level surfaces during interaction with customers and other personal. Duration 30 minutes per day
- Employee continuously sits using the computer, talking on the phone, processing project paper work, and attending. Duration up to 7 hours per day
- Employee constantly reaches out during work at desk. Height forward reach waist to chest; Frequency up to 30 times per hour
- Employee must rarely bend, squat, stoop, or kneel during filing tasks.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to ambient temperatures in the warehouse.
- Work overtime as needed.
