This role is a senior legal leadership position responsible for providing strategic legal guidance across a broad range of corporate matters. The Director will oversee contract drafting, negotiation, and review for commercial agreements, vendor relationships, property management contracts, and technology or marketing agreements. Acting as a trusted advisor to business teams, this role ensures compliance, mitigates risk, and supports corporate governance initiatives. You will manage the contract lifecycle process, deliver training on legal matters, and provide insight to influence strategic decisions. The position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-volume environment, balancing business priorities with legal and regulatory obligations. Accountabilities:
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including property management, vendor, technology, marketing, and co-branding contracts
  • Provide legal advice to business teams on risk, contractual obligations, and compliance matters
  • Oversee contract lifecycle processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to internal policies and standards
  • Support corporate governance initiatives, including preparation of corporate documents, resolutions, and consents
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research, providing timely guidance on evolving laws and compliance requirements
  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations on legal and contract-related topics
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and informed decision-making

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state and in good standing with a state bar
  • JD from an accredited law school and Bachelor’s degree; minimum of five years of experience in-house or at a law firm
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including risk-shifting provisions
  • Experience with property management, technology, SaaS, marketing, or branding agreements preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead collaboratively, influence cross-functional teams, and provide practical business-oriented legal solutions
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize workload, work independently, and perform under tight deadlines
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic business environment
