MEISON is a collection of high-end and luxury women’s apparel brands including Jones New York, Misook, Ming Wang, and Kasper. Position Summary:
Meison is seeking an Associate Merchandise Planner to join our team. This role will oversee merchandise planning, inventory management, and production flow across both wholesale (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. The ideal candidate will not only build financial and merchandise plans but also partner with vendors and factories to ensure smooth production and on-time deliveries.
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000

Responsibilities:
Merchandise & Financial Planning (50%)
- Develop seasonal sales, margin, promo and inventory plans across brands, categories, and channels (B2B & DTC).
- Build and maintain Open-to-Buy (OTB) framework; track receipts, sales trends, and risks.
- Partner with buying/merchandising teams to shape assortments that balance financial goals with brand strategy.
- Monitor sell-through performance; recommend reorders, markdowns, and promo strategies.
Inventory & Reporting (20%)
- Forecast and monitor inventory flow into distribution centers and wholesale doors.
- Deliver weekly/monthly recaps on sales, margin, and inventory; highlight risks/opportunities.
- Coordinate with logistics to align inbound schedules with sales and promotional plans
Production & Vendor Communication (15%)
- Translate merchandise plans into production forecasts, aligning buy quantities with vendor capacity.
- Partner with operations to track production status, ship windows, and delivery flow.
- Communicate adjustments (upsize, cutbacks, color/style drops) based on sales trends and inventory needs.
- Ensure vendors meet compliance, packaging, and quality requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%)
- Work closely with Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to align product availability with brand strategy.
- Partner with Marketing on promo calendars to ensure product readiness for campaigns.
- Provide insights to leadership on seasonal hindsight and forward-looking opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or other closely related field. Master’s preferred
- 1-3 years of planning, merchandising, or supply chain experience in apparel or retail.
- Strong analytical and Excel/BI skills (NetSuite/NSAW experience a plus).
- Proven ability to manage inventory flow and build financial plans.
- Experience communicating with overseas vendors and navigating production timelines.
- Strong organizational skills; able to juggle multiple brands, seasons, and channels.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and comfortable influencing cross-functional partners
