Billing Specialist I - Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic - Full-Time, Days

• Work location: 3142 Horizon Road, Rockwall, TX 75032
• Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided )

Here's What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Billing Experience in a Health Care Environment (strongly preferred)
• Healthcare experience (preferred)
• Maintain daily billing work-ques, assist patients with billing questions and concerns and forward to appropriate billing departments for all of our satellite clinics
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
• Demonstrate effective customer service and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Billing Specialist I process
• Coordinate copies of medical documentation with physician charges to support billing to third-party payers.
• File and enter billing for patients into system and analyzes patient accounts to ensure billing is accurate.
• Resolve routine patient billing inquiries and problems, handling follow-up questions from patients, resolving discrepancies or errors.
• Review medical coding as necessary and enters patient charges into billing applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
