About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to support maintenance and fabrication operations at our Texas-based chemical facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining ventilation systems, process enclosures, ductwork, and related components in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in petrochemical, refinery, or chemical plant settings and understands the safety expectations of Gulf Coast industrial facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of industrial sheet metal experience (chemical, refinery, petrochemical, or LNG preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret industrial drawings and specifications
  • Experience working in operating units within live process environments
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and hazard recognition
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components including duct systems, hoods, panels, and equipment enclosures
  • Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and technical schematics
  • Perform field measurements and layout work accurately
  • Work with stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized metal, and specialty alloys
  • Install and maintain industrial ventilation and exhaust systems
  • Assist during plant turnarounds, outages, and capital projects
  • Follow all safety requirements including hot work permits, confined space entry, and LOTO procedures
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and plant environmental standards
  • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, contractors, and engineering teams

Preferred Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry)
  • NCCER Craft Certification (Sheet Metal)
  • TWIC Card (preferred for Gulf Coast facilities)
  • BasicPlus or equivalent site-specific safety training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in Texas heat
  • Must wear required PPE including FR clothing, respirators, hard hat, gloves, and eye protection
