Secondary Technician

Position Overview:

Set-up broach, straightening, assembly and laser machine to meet production and quality requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Ability to assemble parts as needed
Verify part quantity with the job traveler
Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
Study and determine the part tolerances and methods of measurement for each job
Deburr parts when necessary
Ability to run more than one machine maintaining run times as required
Set-up machines
Use micrometers, height gages, and optical comparators and visual checks for part inspection as well as indicators and gages
Maintain clean and organized department and work area
Communicate with coworkers and supervisor as needed
Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs
Take parts to inspection when necessary
Use inspection methods to determine size changes
Analyze blueprints & travelers
Complete all necessary paperwork as required in a timely & accurate manner
