This role provides strategic leadership in commercial operations for a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical product launch, focusing on optimizing field performance, CRM management, and operational alignment. The Director / Senior Director will oversee cross-functional initiatives including incentive compensation design, field targeting, sample and fleet operations, and training programs. By collaborating closely with sales, medical affairs, market access, and analytics teams, this role ensures efficient deployment of commercial strategies to support product adoption. The position offers a fully remote work environment with meaningful impact on product launch success and field effectiveness, requiring occasional travel to support operations.
- Lead and coordinate CRM implementation and maintenance with vendor partners, ensuring alignment with field and cross-functional team inputs
- Guide incentive compensation planning and design in collaboration with leadership and field teams
- Manage field alignment including roster, zip-to-territory assignments, HCO/HCP targeting, and DCR coordination, leveraging analytics insights
- Oversee sample operations and logistics, coordinating with vendors and field colleagues
- Partner with fleet vendors to manage fleet operations and logistics alongside field leadership
- Train field teams on subnational data sources, reporting tools, CRM systems, sampling procedures, and fleet logistics
- Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to optimize field deployment, performance, and alignment strategies
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Minimum 3 years in commercial operations or field training roles
- At least 3 years of field experience as a representative, 1L manager, or medical science liaison
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in reporting tools and data analysis
- Proficiency with Veeva suite of commercial platforms (CRM, OpenData/Network)
- Knowledge of incentive compensation plan design and administration
- Experience managing multiple vendors and internal stakeholder relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills to support cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success optimizing field force effectiveness through performance metrics, deployment, alignment, and targeting strategies
