Position Summary:

The Sales Associate, reporting directly to the Director of Sales, supports occupancy growth by coordinating all aspects of the move-in process for new residents as well as internal moves and transfers within the community. This role assists with contracts, assessments, logistics, and apartment readiness while ensuring smooth communication with residents, families, and staff. By championing the move-in experience and delivering exceptional customer service, the Sales Associate helps achieve budgeted occupancy goals and supports the community’s commitment to hospitality and resident satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Create resident contracts and coordinate the move-in process.
  • Champion the move-in process and assist with new resident assessments.
  • Attend and participate in all required trainings, team meetings, town hall meetings, online learning resources, and others as required.
  • Provide tours to prospects, as needed.
  • Program pendants & activate key cards as needed.
  • Maintain all marketing packets, collateral, and brochures as needed.
  • Communicate and interact with residents, families, and team members in a kind, respectful, and effective way.
  • Champion hospitality and deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.
  • Follow up daily with new move-ins during the first week of residency to assist with orientation and troubleshooting issues/concerns.
  • Assist with the execution of lead-generating events as determined by the Marketing team and Director of Sales
  • Coordinate the logistics, paperwork, and apartment readiness for all move-ins at the time of deposit through move-in.
  • Ensure effective communication is being utilized by community staff with the residents’ families concerning residents’ care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work well with others and take direction from management, as well as taking initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in sales or customer service preferred, ideally within senior living, healthcare, or a related hospitality-driven industry.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Working Conditions:

  • This position may need to walk or stand for extended periods and move throughout the community, resident apartments, and other areas of the community.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as climb or balance.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively and identify/interpret written information.
  • This position may need to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently, and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Individuals in this position are required to follow all infection prevention and control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, to ensure the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
  • This role involves actively participating in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale. The individual will contribute as a collaborative team player, working alongside colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive work environment.
  • Individuals in this position are required to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives. They are expected to actively pursue self-improvement and embrace opportunities for continuous learning to enhance their skills and knowledge.
