SBS is seeking a Technical Writer to support our customer on a 6-month contract. The Technical Writer will be a key resource for the larger technical team in producing and publishing designs, installation instructions, configuration parameters, runbooks/playbooks, and similar documents.
The larger team will provide the Technical Writer with draft documents and materials. The Technical Writer will edit or adapt the provided documents into Standard Templates when available and follow consistent techniques for grammar, spelling readability and use.

• Will use typical tools for writing and editing technical documents – MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and similar tools.
• Must have working knowledge and skills of Information Technology systems to understand the intent of draft technical documents content for context and end use.
• Able to review existing draft documents and edit them to standard templates (when available).
• Able to craft documentation templates when needed.
• Manage documents with version control in provided repositories.
• Effective communication skills and able to obtain clarifications and updates from existing team members when needed.
• Able to work in a fast-paced exceptionally large project with tight timelines.
• Able to travel to the manufacturing site on occasion if asked.
• The Technical Writer will ensure all documents are managed and kept in the project repositories (SharePoint, and similar repositories.)
• The Technical Writer will provide the edited documents to the owner of the content for the content owners review and approval.
• Technical Writer will publish complete, reviewed, and approved documents to the project team(s) following the instructions provided by the Project Manager.
