Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Welder to join our production team. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational welding skills who want to build a career in precision sheet metal fabrication. You will perform welding operations on components for industry-leading customers while learning from experienced team members in a supportive environment that values craftsmanship, accuracy, and professional growth.

Perform MIG and TIG welding on precision sheet metal components including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders to meet exact customer specifications. Set up welding equipment and select appropriate wire, gas, and settings based on material type and thickness. Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and conformance to precision tolerances. Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet customer standards across medical, aerospace, defense, and commercial applications. Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with safety protocols and quality management standards. Collaborate with the production team to support on-time delivery of parts and assemblies. Communicate with supervisors and quality assurance leads regarding job progress and any issues encountered.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of a welding certificate program, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Basic knowledge of MIG and/or TIG welding processes
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing precision work
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior welders
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

• AWS welding certification or willingness to obtain
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes such as forming, punching, and laser cutting
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Prior experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Interest in working on components for aerospace, medical, or defense applications

This role requires standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Candidates must be able to work in varying temperatures and wear required personal protective equipment including welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses. Manual dexterity and steady hands are essential for producing precision welds that meet our quality standards.
