About the Role:
The Quality Management Associate (QMA) at Summit Health and Living Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of care and operational excellence within the facility. This position is responsible for supporting quality assurance initiatives, monitoring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating continuous improvement processes. The QMA collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. By maintaining meticulous records and conducting regular audits, the QMA helps to uphold the facility’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility environment.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare quality standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data collection and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and quality management software.
- Familiarity with CMS regulations and guidelines for skilled nursing facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or quality improvement role within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to patient care quality, safety incidents, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement corrective action plans based on audit findings and quality metrics.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external quality assurance reviews and surveys.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality management activities and support continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Skills:
The QMA utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret quality data and identify trends that impact patient care and facility operations. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with clinical staff and presenting findings to management, ensuring that quality initiatives are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
