The Sr. Strategist, Social Analytics will join and lead the Social Media Insights & Intelligence Team, owning strategic data initiatives, analytical frameworks, and insight delivery to support both internal stakeholders and client partners. The Sr. Strategist, Social Analytics is a strategic and data-driven leader responsible for shaping how social performance is measured, analyzed, and translated into business impact across clients. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and culture—bringing rigor to measurement frameworks while uncovering meaningful insights that inform creative, content, and channel decisions.

This individual will lead the development of scalable reporting systems, oversee social listening and cultural intelligence efforts, and elevate how data is communicated to both internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the details of data and the big-picture storytelling required.


Where you'll be working: Knoxville. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead social performance measurement frameworks and define key metrics across platforms.
  • Oversee monthly reporting cadence, ensuring accuracy, actionable insights, and alignment with client KPIs.
  • Mentor, support, and quality-review work of junior analysts.
  • Drive social listening efforts—developing listening queries, interpreting sentiment trends, and connecting cultural insights to business objectives.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, internal BI systems).
  • Synthesize findings into executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across strategy, performance, creative, and PR.
  • Partner with Social Media Managers to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor industry best practices and social platform evolution.
  • Support ad-hoc client requests for audience insights, competitor benchmarking, and topic monitoring.

What you bring:

  • 5–7+ years of experience in social analytics, insights, research, or related disciplines.
  • Expertise with social listening and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, NetBase, Meltwater, RivalIQ).
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data visualization skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience with key social platform algorithms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling ability with a focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring or leading small teams.
