Who you are and what you’ll do

You are a highly driven and curious Patent Agent who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to build, not just execute. In this role, you will own the end-to-end patent lifecycle at Mappedin - from discovery through drafting to filing, while working closely with our CTO, engineering, and product teams. You will play a key role in shaping and protecting the future of our technology.

What you’ll do:

• Draft, review, and file a high volume of patent applications

• Identify and capture patentable innovations aligned with product development and roadmap

• Build and scale a repeatable, high-throughput patent filing system

• Partner cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to surface innovation early

• Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on patents and IP strategy

• Conduct technical and patent research to inform filings and strategy

• Refine and support Mappedin’s patent strategy roadmap

• Introduce and leverage AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and output

• Continuously improve the speed, quality, and strategic value of patent filings

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in patent drafting and filing

• Strong knowledge of IP law and patent prosecution processes

• Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work

• Strong research and analytical skills

• High degree of ownership and initiative, you proactively identify opportunities without prompting

• Experience collaborating with technical teams (Engineering, Product)

Nice to have:

• Experience working at a large IP firm or within a full IP team

• Experience in SaaS or a high-growth tech company

• Familiarity with AI tools for document automation, research, or workflow optimization
