Position Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at The Geneva Suites, you work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver hands-on therapy services that improve mobility, reduce fall risk, and support residents’ functional independence. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, effective, and consistent carryover of therapy interventions within the care environment.

What You Will Do
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
• Assist residents with mobility-related activities including transfers, ambulation, bed mobility, and positioning
• Carry out therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, endurance, coordination, and safety
• Monitor and report residents’ response to treatment and progress toward goals
• Identify and communicate changes in resident condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Reinforce safe use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and wheelchairs
• Collaborate with nurses and care partners to integrate mobility and safety strategies into daily routines
• Support fall prevention and safety initiatives within the community
• Train residents, staff, and families on safe mobility techniques and carryover of therapy interventions
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings as appropriate
• Document therapy services accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
• Assist with resident transitions including move-ins, discharges, and changes in level of care
• Support end-of-life care through comfort positioning and mobility support
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Education & Experience
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current PTA license in the state of practice (Minnesota)
• CPR certification (if required by organization)
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, or post-acute care preferred
