You’re a calm, steady presence on-site—someone crews can trust when something doesn’t feel right. With a background in athletic training and a heart for occupational health, you know how to spot issues early, act quickly, and help people stay strong and safe on the job. Responsibilities
- Provide on-site injury triage, assessment, and early intervention for sprains, strains, and overuse injuries.
- Design and maintain stretch-and-flex routines, ergonomic coaching, and job-specific movement education.
- Support post-injury return-to-work programs.
- Serve as a bridge between field crews, site supervisors, and safety leadership.
- Track documentation, trends, and report on injury patterns or risks
- Maintain a consistent, approachable presence on the job site, serving as a trusted resource for workers
Requirements
-Must be able to work 50-60 hours per week.
-Must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts (rotating shifts, alternating weekends)
-Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
-Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in small spaces.
-Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years.
-Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
-Must have strong team collaboration skills.
-Knowledge of industry-specific safety procedures is highly preferred (ex: construction).
Skills and Experience
-Ability to perform injury evaluations, provide first aid, and support early intervention care on-site
-Strong communication skills—able to interact respectfully with skilled tradespeople, site leadership, and health professionals
-Physically able to navigate large job sites, including walking, standing, and light lifting
-Comfort working in outdoor or industrial environments in varying weather conditions
-Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in the field
-A calm, confident presence in high-pressure or emergency situations
-Physical stamina to lift, assist, and manage patients.
Required certifications and licenses
-Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
-Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
-CPR/AED & First Aid Certified (BLS)
-OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Certification(s) (preferred)

The expected pay range for this position is $34 - $38 per hour, depending on experience, licensure, and geographic location.
