About the Role:
- The Clinical Director provides leadership and operational oversight for all clinical services within the psychiatric hospital. The Clinical Director works collaboratively with medical, nursing, and administrative teams to promote the highest standards of mental health care.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Clinical Director will be responsible for ensuring that care is patient-centered, evidence-based and compliant with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited school required
- Current LSW, LPC, LISW, LCAC, LMHC, LCSW, PSYD, or MD license
- Minimum 5 years in a clinical leadership role within a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task, with exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide patient-driven customer service, and exercise time management skills.
- Schedule flexibility may be REQUIRED to accommodate client admissions
- Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs that support the hospital’s mission and goals
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure all clinical services comply with state/federal regulations, Joint Commission, requirements
- Oversee clinical policies, protocols, and best practice guidelines; updating them as needed to reflect current evidence-based practices
- Review and approve treatment plans for complex or high-risk cases
- Recruit and hire qualified clinical staff, ensuring appropriate credentialing
- Provide regular supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
- Oversee processes for patient safety, incident reporting, and root cause analysis
- Ensure all patients receive individualized, compassionate, and effective care.
- Provides job-specific training for new hires and ongoing to ensure processes and procedures are followed.
- Audits clinical notes to ensure timely & accurate documentation.
- Completes corrective action summaries and recommends disciplinary action to CEO.
- Monitor labor hours and overtime of staff
- Approves time and payroll records for clinical department
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community mental health agencies, referral sources, and advocacy groups
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, using data to guide continuous quality improvement initiatives
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000
