Position Summary

The Recruiter (SkillBridge) supports PSI’s government contracting workforce by assisting with high-volume recruiting efforts in a fast-paced environment. This role is designed for a SkillBridge candidate who is interested in developing hands-on recruiting experience while transitioning from military service to the civilian workforce.

Recruiting in government contracting is continuous, even when there are no immediate openings, and this role focuses on building and maintaining future candidate pipelines, learning recruiting systems, and supporting data-driven hiring processes. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, adaptable, and brings a welcoming, professional demeanor as they represent PSI to prospective candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support high-volume recruiting activities for government contracting roles.
  • Assist with sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Help build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates, even when no openings are available.
  • Enter, track, and maintain candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with tracking recruiting activity, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Use tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar applications to support recruiting reports and data analysis.
  • Coordinate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.
  • Help ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Learn and follow compliance requirements related to government contracting recruitment.
  • Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and workflows.

Basic Qualifications

  • Approved or eligible for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program.
  • Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic familiarity with data tracking, spreadsheets, or reporting tools (Excel preferred).
  • Willingness and ability to learn ATS platforms, KPIs, and recruiting systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, welcoming demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Approval from your unit commander and SkillBridge coordinator
