Job Summary
The Production Associate is responsible for verifying that each product run is performed following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines. Operates machinery which manufactures Carlson Laboratories saleable products. Activities include, but are not limited to, filling, labeling, sealing and lot code/expiration date printing. Production members should also inspect their own work before requesting MQA approval. In addition to the filling and finishing of product, production workers must utilize and maintain designated machinery used in the production process. Production personnel shall perform the cleaning of production machinery before and after each production run or otherwise as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Regular cleaning of all production and process equipment
· Perform machine calibration before each run of product
· Verify that proper amounts of product, bottles, caps, seals and labels are accounted for on each production run
· Operate and oversee production machinery throughout each production run. No production equipment or machinery shall be used without proper supervision by a qualified member of production personnel
· Label application by machine or hand; whichever method is most efficient using available equipment
· Print lot numbers and expiration dates on packaged products
· Count and verify proper amounts of finished product units before MQA checks the lot for approval
· Follow the instruction of the Production Supervisor and/or appropriate MQA member
· Complete paperwork and turn into supervisor
· Check for constant quality of finished product
Requirements:· High School Diploma
· Must possess basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills
· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
· Must be willing to learn the operation of new machinery as needed
· Ability to operate machinery and tools safely and effectively
· Strong communicator with the ability to work in a team
· Ability to lift 30+lbs and stand for extended periods
