About This Position

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the successful overall coordination and direction of all activities related to the golf operations and grill (seasonally), ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and in accordance with the Company’s policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES but are not limited to include the following:

  • Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy of organization for golf operations and grill, ensuring maximum guest service and satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the operation of the Golf Shop, Cart Barn, Starter/Marshalls and Grill.
  • Responsible for assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the golf operations and grill.
  • Maintain monthly inventory controls of all equipment, office supplies, guest supplies, Golf Shop Inventory, cart barn supplies and grill supplies. Ultimately responsible for monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of office supplies, guest supplies, Golf Shop Inventory, Cart Barn and grill supplies.
  • Coordinate golf operations and grill employees in the proper execution of their responsibilities and monitors work needed in other areas as required.
  • Routinely inspects work areas, identifying cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems or repair needs, and notifies the appropriate individuals for proper resolution.
  • Manages the tee sheet function, to maintain highest possible tee times, and highest average daily rate, and balancing tee slot availability. Tee Sheet Inventory Management includes monitoring On-line Booking Sites for functionality.
  • Manages tee sheet availability for on-going golf outings, including tournaments, aeration, and maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizes profitability while maintaining procedures for; credit control, handling of financial transactions, guest security and Emergency Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with the payroll function of the golf operations and grill employees, including monitoring staff hours and over-time, PTO, incentives, and tips; manages the proper recording of these payroll functions.
  • Reviews departmental guest complaints, ensuring that positive guest resolution is achieved, and corrective action is taken in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with the golf operations and grill employees.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels in the golf operations and Grill by; interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining, terminating employees as needed, with HR and Director.
  • Assist with the ordering process adhering all Purchase orders to our internal controls.
  • Provide responsible course of action to all guest complaints, Internet Reviews, etc.
  • Control and provide strategies to maximize revenue by doing market shops, and intensive internet research.
  • Keep all areas clean & sanitized as directed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Assist EOM with any other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 -4 years of Supervisory/Management experience in Retail Sales, and/or Customer Service environment. Previous experience in Golf Operations with increasing levels of responsibility and strong working knowledge of General Retail practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate fluently in English.

The Employee must be able to safely use cleaning products and safely operate golf equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Employee may be exposed to second hand cigarette smoke
