JOB SUMMARY

As the Baker/Pastry Cook, you will prepare and assist with the creation of excellent quality desserts while adhering to the Moose's Tooth restaurant's pars and recipes. The Baker/Pastry Cook will assist in developing specials and new dessert recipes and cater to special events as assigned. The Baker/Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Moose's Tooth restaurant. Morning availability is required. Previous baking experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
2. Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
3. Prepare and supervise the preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Moose’s Tooth
4. Create and fulfill par levels
5. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
6. Monitor and promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
7. Be a creative contributor to dessert specials
8. Be responsible for costing recipes (software is available)
9. Ensure completion of all opening, closing, and side duties
10. Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
11. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respe

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers Card. Previous baking experience is required.
