About This Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically astute EDI-SD Analyst to run our daily EDI operations, new partner onboarding, and associated integration platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP IDoc resolution and a proven ability to independently learn, master and own new systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as primary regional technical process owner for all SAP SD-EDI activities and projects.
  • New Partner Onboarding:
    • Execute the technical setup for new EDI trading partners, including configuring SAP partner profiles, ports, and logical systems. Cooperating with Seeberger/SAP Integration Suite development.
    • Coordinate with external providers (e.g., SPS Commerce) to implement and test new EDI maps (e.g., 850, 856, 810 etc.).
  • SAP IDoc Analysis & Resolution:
    • Perform daily monitoring and reprocessing of IDocs in SAP S/4HANA
    • Analyze IDoc segments to identify and troubleshoot data-related and configuration errors
    • Collaborate with master data teams to correct underlying data issues causing IDoc failures.
  • Integration System Management:
    • Take ownership, independently learning, operating, and troubleshooting connected systems, specifically Rithum, Shopify, and CommerceHub.
    • Assist in troubleshooting basic API connection failures (e.g., analyzing JSON/XML error responses) between SAP and these platforms.
    • Analyze X12 mapping issues and hand over to most appropriate party.
  • Coordination & Facilitation:
    • Act as the technical liaison between internal Customer Service teams and external partners (SPS Commerce) to communicate setup timelines, test results, and resolve technical errors.
  • Support SAP SD in relation to EDI workflows to automate exchange of business documents, such as order confirmations and sales orders, between SAP systems and external partners, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Work with global counterparts and external vendors on process adaptations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in an EDI technical support role. Experience working in a US retailer is a plus.
  • Essential practical experience with SAP S/4HANA (or ECC), specifically:
    • IDoc troubleshooting: Deep familiarity with transactions WE02, BD87, and WE19.
    • IDoc structure: Ability to read and understand common IDoc segments and data fields.
    • Partner setup: Working knowledge of WE20
  • Experience working directly with 3rd party EDI providers (e.g., SPS Commerce).
  • Proven ability to self-teach and become a subject matter expert on new software platforms (Rithum, CommerceHub, etc.) with minimal formal training.
  • Basic understanding of API concepts (REST, JSON, authentication keys) and experience reviewing API logs for errors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Seeberger and/or SAP Integration Suite is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of specific EDI standards (ANSI X12).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like AS2 or SFTP.
  • Experience working in a global SAP environment.
  • Experience in a retail and e-commerce environment in US and Canada. Will require some travel to Canada.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment is a plus.
  • Possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on value creation.
  • Adept at optimizing internal operations and enhancing process efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of Excel, ability to run reports and utilize Excel to provide insights.

Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year contingent upon experience.

To be considered for a remote position, you must reside over a 60+ Mile Radius from Pleasantville, NY. Also note that this position will require travel to other locations (like Canada).
