This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the legal framework supporting complex business operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Associate General Counsel will advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, ensuring legal risks are managed while enabling growth. You will collaborate closely with business leaders and the General Counsel to deliver practical solutions, draft and negotiate agreements, and provide guidance on emerging legal challenges. This position requires a blend of strong legal expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative setting where your counsel directly impacts strategic initiatives and organizational success.
Accountabilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements critical to business operations under the guidance of the General Counsel.
- Identify legal risks and provide clear, actionable solutions and alternatives to leadership teams.
- Advise business leaders on corporate governance, healthcare regulations, employment law, and other relevant legal matters.
- Support strategic transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships, and other organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Assist with the development of internal policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from a top-tier law school.
- Active membership in good standing with a state Bar.
- 7+ years of experience providing corporate legal counsel, preferably in healthcare or related industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based applications.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Sound business judgment with the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented counsel.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
